Polymer Clay Canes (Pt. 1)
Explore additional skills in polymer clay. If you took our previous polymer clay class or you just want to try your hand at a new medium, this class is for you. We will be making canes such as bullseye, graduated, floral, etc. These colorful coils are the basis for more complex designs like kaleidoscopes, flowers, and mosaics. Canes are formed with multiple colors adding metallics and foils for some emphasis. The class is designed in 2 parts, take one or both. We will combine the canes in the next class to create a slab or a tile. Use the tile as it is or form a slab that can be used for jewelry pieces and embellishments.

Book Binding
Our third class in the series puts our papers into our cover. We will combine the pages into sections and sew them into the cover. Try your hand at making a simple art journal or continue your Art Book as we bind it together with a Coptic binding. An art form from the 2nd century, Coptic book binding involves sewing paper pages together to incorporate into a bound book. We will manufacture a bound book using this sewing technique that allows a book to lie flat. If you do not participate in the other 2 classes, you can still complete a book and learn the process with materials provided.
