Instructor - Frieda Anderson

Level: Beginner to Advanced - No sewing machine required

In this fusing class Frieda will teach you new easy ways to make this fun seascape quilt. Using collage techniques and raw edge fusing you will achieve beautiful effects. This is the quilt you want hanging on your wall to cheer you through the winter and think of warmer places and times.

About the Guest Instructor - Frieda Anderson

I made my first quilt when I was in high school. I have been designing and making original quilts ever since. I find each step of quilt making, from the beginning to the end, a real challenge. Most of my quilts are fused or have fusing in them. My work is machine quilted and nature inspired. I discovered hand dyeing fabric 30 years ago, and I now work almost exclusively with my own hand dyed cotton and silks that are used in my fused and pieced quilt creations. I love the dye process, and I particularly enjoy seeing the colors emerge from the wet fabric.

My hand dyed fabric and original patterns can be purchased on my website at http://www.friestyle.com. Readers can enjoy my weekly updates and tips on my blog at http://www.friestyle.com.

Frieda is a BERNINA Ambassador working on the BERNINA 750Q domestic home sewing machine. http://www.friestyle.com

On Thursday, May 4 there will be a Lecture beginning at 6 p.m. at the same location with wine and cheese networking at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $15 at the door.
