MISSION                    

Bringing the world of performing arts to Boerne is the mission of Boerne Performing Arts. By presenting a wide range of the highest quality national and international caliber performing artists/companies and promulgating arts education through numerous outreach programs, Boerne Performing Arts strives to contribute to the cultural life of the City of Boerne, Kendall County, and the entire Texas Hill
Country region.

COMMITTEE

HCCArts' Boerne Performing Arts Committee is dedicated to presenting a wide variety of high-quality professional performing arts in Boerne, Texas. Each member of the committee volunteers their time toward increasing the quality of life in Kendall County through the enrichment, education and enjoyment of bringing the world of performing arts to our community.

OUR STORY

During the 2010-2011 school year, the Kerrville Performing Arts Society (a non-profit organization that has presented professional performing artists in the Texas Hill Country for the past 27 years) chose to partner with the Boerne Independent School District, with support from the Hill Country Council for the Arts, Boerne Convention and Visitors Bureau, Kendall County Economic Development Corporation, the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Boerne, to present three world-renowned performing arts events at the Boerne ISD Champion High School Auditorium. The response was overwhelmingly positive!

Following the success of this collaborative effort, a very motivated group of local individuals has undertaken the mission of creating Boerne's own professional performing arts organization to continue the presentations of artists from around the world.

It is a logical fit for the Boerne Performing Arts to be a committee under the umbrella of the Hill Country Council for the Arts, functioning autonomously within the structure of this well-established 501(c)3.
