Melissa Haberstroh of the The Burlap Horse, along with her husband Jeff, have acted as the Boerne Festival of Art & Music auction chairpersons for the past 3 years. They have directed the auction, physically worked the auction, and they created its organizational structure. This year's auction was highlighted with a record sale for Raul Gutierrez's painting "The Proud One." Raul is represented by Sandra Canavan Fine Art Gallery.

For the past 2 years they have also hosted the auction preview party at the Burlap Horse. They are tremendous friends of the Arts Council.
